1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup uncooked rice
2/3 cup milk
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 cup onion, chopped (or 1 tablespoon instant dried minced onion)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 can (10 1/2 ounces) condensed tomato soup
3/4 cup water
Preheat the oven to 350 °F.
Combine the beef, rice, milk, egg, onion, salt, and black pepper. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of the mixture into a shallow baking pan (9" x 13" x 2").
Combine the soup and water. Pour it over the meatballs. Cover the pan tightly with foil. Bake at 350 °F for 1 hour.
