As a PA, Kara has had the opportunity to work 4 years in obstetrics and 13 years in pediatrics. Her special interests include newborn and breastfeeding support, well child care, and ADHD/ADD diagnosis and treatment.
Outside of work, Kara and her husband spend their time homeschooling their three amazing children, working on their endless “Fixer Upper”, and hiking/spending family time outside! If she gets down time, you will find her joyfully sipping tea and reading.

Kara graduated from East Carolina University with her Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy. Upon graduation, she worked for three years as an adult and pediatric occupational therapist, and later received her Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from The Medical University of South Carolina in 2005.As a PA, Kara has had the opportunity to work 4 years in obstetrics and 13 years in pediatrics.
