Dr. Michela Isono is a board-certified Family Medicine physician with experience caring for patients across the lifespan with a focus in Integrative Medicine. She practices integrative approaches that emphasize the therapeutic alliance, patient empowerment, and modalities that blend conventional and complementary methods.Dr. Isono earned her medical degree from A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine where she was elected into the Gold Humanism Honor Society for her commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care. She completed her Residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital where she served as Chief Resident and received the Integrative Medicine Award for her leadership in evidence-based, holistic healthcare.During her Residency, Dr. Isono pursued specialized training through the University of Arizona’s Integrative Medicine Curriculum for Residents, with additional time dedicated towards functional medicine, nutrition, osteopathic manipulation, and mindfulness-based therapies. She developed and led a Group Medical Visit Program for Diabetes Prevention at a Federally Qualified Health Center and had the opportunity to present the model at the 2024 Integrative Medicine for the Underserved National Conference. She has also delivered lectures on osteopathic manipulation, probiotics, and lifestyle approaches to chronic disease management.
