Dr Shitia is a board-certified, fellowship-trained non-surgical sports medicine specialist. His clinical interests include non-operative management of musculoskeletal injuries, ultrasound-guided injections, and orthobiologic medicine, including platelet-rich plasma (PRP). He earned his medical degree from the Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at Case Western Reserve University's MetroHealth Medical Center. Dr Shitia completed a fellowship in sports medicine at Virginia Tech, where he served as a team physician for the NCAA Division I Virginia Tech Hokies and Radford University Highlanders. He is certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
