Charity Iheagwara, MD, is a physician specializing in infectious diseases. She treats adults with a variety of infectious diseases, including HIV, AIDS, hepatitis, parasitic infections, tuberculosis and malaria. She has a clinical interest in HIV/AIDS and chronic hepatitis C “What I love most about my job is the ability to provide solutions to the healthcare needs of my patients,” she says. Dr Iheagwara earned her medical degree from the University of Nigeria Faculty of Medicine. After medical school, she completed a residency at the Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C. She is working on a fellowship at Saint Michaels Medical Center in Newark, where she’s serving as chief fellow.
