Paul Simonelli, MD, PhD, is chair of the Department of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine for the Geisinger Medicine Institute. He is also the systemwide director of Geisinger’s Division of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine and the director of Population Health. Dr Simonelli received his medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, and his doctorate in biochemistry from the City University of New York. He completed his residency at New York–Presbyterian Hospital and a fellowship in Pulmonary Disease at Columbia University. He is board certified in pulmonary disease.
