He earned his medical degree from Universidad Francisco Marroquín in Guatemala City, Guatemala. He completed an internship and residency in pediatrics at Schneider Children’s Hospital of Long Island Jewish Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he also served as chief resident.
