Dr. Cai graduated summa cum laude with a major in biology at Columbia University and received her M.D. from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York. She completed her medical internship at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore and her ophthalmology residency training at the Wilmer Eye Institute.
