Dr. Jana Christian is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Johns Hopkins University in the Division of Hematology. Dr. Christian also serves as the medical director for Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center's Anticoagulation Management Services. She holds an undergraduate degree in History of Science from Harvard College and a M.D. from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital where she also served as a Chief Resident. Subsequently, she completed her Hematology Fellowship at Johns Hopkins, and in her final year, served as a Chief Fellow. Dr. Christian specializes in the treatment of adult patients with non-malignant (classical) hematologic diseases, including anemia, thrombocytopenia, bleeding disorders, venous thromboembolic disease, hemoglobinopathies, and myeloproliferative neoplasms.
