Dr. J. Hunter Young is an associate professor of medicine and assistant professor of gynecology and obstetrics at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. His areas of clinical expertise include genetic epidemiology, hypertension, insulin resistance and general internal medicine. Dr. Young holds a joint appointment in epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.Dr. Young received his M.D. from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and completed his residency at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He performed two fellowships in internal medicine at Johns Hopkins.His research interests include insulin resistance, hypertension, novel risk factors for CVD and genetic epidemiology.
