Tess Chase

Dr. Chase is an obstetrician-gynecologist in the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Maternal, Fetal & Neonatal Institute. She joined the hospital staff in 2021 and sees patients at Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital Center for Women and Babies and HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital. Dr. Chase earned her medical degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. She completed an obstetrics and gynecology residency at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania, where she won numerous teaching awards and was the recipient of the Ann E. Seward Memorial Scholarship for outstanding research. 
Dr. Chase is the associate medical Director of OBGYN Simulation at the Johns Hopkins Center for Medical Simulation and Innovative Education where she founded the OBGYN Simulation program. Her program consists of over 20 novel, interdisciplinary simulations that are used to train OBGYN physicians in procedural skills, interpersonal communication and complex resuscitations. Her work has allowed her to publish innovative, award-winning curriculum at the local, regional and national levels and has been the recipient of grant funding. 

Dr. Chase currently serves as core faculty for the Bayfront OBGYN Residency program where she enjoys mentoring young OBGYN physicians. Her academic work has allowed her a promotion to assistant professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
