Alexander Golec
Alexander Golec, M.D. is a pediatrician, adolescent medicine specialist and addiction medicine specialist who provides primary care and subspecialty consultative care to adolescents and young adults, including addiction treatment at Johns Hopkins Children’s Center.
He is an assistant professor of pediatrics at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and an attending physician in the Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine at Johns Hopkins Children's Center. His clinical and research interests are adolescent preventative health, substance use screening and treatment, and LGBTQ+ health.
Dr. Golec graduated from the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and completed his residency in pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics. He then trained in adolescent medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, and subsequently completed fellowships in addiction medicine at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and in adolescent medicine at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
