After earning a master’s degree in medical science from Arcadia University, Scott took a position in the Department of Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, where she served as surgical first assistant, cared for and consulted on patients staying in the hospital, and oversaw outpatient clinics. Over time, Scott’s work in the department extended to caring for patients being seen in the neurosurgery department at The Johns Hopkins Hospital.
