Since 2021, Dr. Hughes has served as the Senior Physician Advisor for Care Coordination and Clinical Resource Management at both the Johns Hopkins Hospital and Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. In this role, he collaborates closely with executive teams to lead teams of physician advisors, ensuring medical necessity and regulatory compliance. Dr. Hughes holds an M.D. from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where he graduated with honors, including Alpha Omega Alpha and Phi Beta Kappa. His postdoctoral training includes a residency in internal medicine and fellowships in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, as well as Health Systems Management.
