Dr. Kevin A. Shah is a fellowship-trained neuroendovascular surgeon who joined Northwell Health in 2023. He specializes in the treatment of complex cerebrovascular diseases, utilizing advanced endovascular techniques to provide minimally invasive care for conditions such as intracranial aneurysms, subarachnoid hemorrhages, and other vascular disorders of the brain and spine.Dr. Shah earned his undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida and went on to complete his medical degree at the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. He then pursued a neurosurgery residency at Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine and a prestigious fellowship in cerebrovascular and endovascular neurosurgery at North Shore University Hospital. During his training, he gained extensive expertise in cutting-edge endovascular procedures, which allow for more targeted and less invasive treatments of cerebrovascular conditions.With a strong interest in research, Dr. Shah focuses on advancing treatment options for cerebrovascular diseases and neuromodulation. His work in clinical trials includes innovative approaches such as trigeminal nerve stimulation for subarachnoid hemorrhage and novel treatments for intracranial aneurysms. His research contributions have earned him national recognition, underscoring his commitment to improving patient outcomes and advancing the field of neuroendovascular surgery.In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Shah is an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, where he is dedicated to training and mentoring the next generation of neurosurgeons.
