Dr. Rupin N. Parikh is an oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgeon and Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology practicing at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Albany Medical College and completed his fellowship in Oculofacial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Iowa. Dr. Parikh is active in the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Ophthalmic Trauma, and the Gold Humanism Honor Society. His professional interests focus on oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgery, orbital disease, eyelid and lacrimal surgery, and advancing surgical education. He has an interest in periocular oncology, trauma, and complex orbital reconstruction. He is board-certified in Ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology. In addition, he serves as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology in the Department of Ophthalmology and participates in national committees dedicated to advancing oculoplastic surgery. He was recently honored with the University of Iowa Fellow Teaching Award and the ASOPRS Foundation Fellowship Travel Grant for his contributions to surgical education, mentorship, and innovation in oculofacial plastic surgery.
