Michael Fox
Dr. Michael Fox is a fellowship-trained sports medicine surgeon specializing in surgical and non-surgical care of knee, shoulder, elbow, hip, and ankle injuries. He earned his medical degree from the University of Virginia and completed residency at the University of Pittsburgh. He further specialized by completing a sports medicine and shoulder surgery fellowship at Duke University, where he provided care for high level athletes, including Duke Men’s Basketball and Football teams.
Whether working with young athletes or weekend warriors, Dr. Fox gets the most joy from seeing his patients regain their quality of life and get back to doing their most fulfilling activities. Dr. Fox believes in shared decision-making with his patients, working together to develop an individualized treatment plan for their needs and goals. He is trained in the cutting-edge and minimally invasive sports medicine procedures, and is an award-winning researcher who has presented his findings at national and international sports medicine conferences.
Dr. Fox is a native of Fairfax County, and he enjoys exploring the many parks and hiking trails, as well as the incredible international food and culture in the area. He is also diehard DC and Pittsburgh sports fan.
