A Message from Dr Bakht Siddiqui: Coming from a family of oncologists, I grew up seeing the powerful bond between doctors and their patients. That inspired me to pursue my own path in medicine, ultimately leading to psychiatry. What drew me most is that with these patients, you have to build a very strong rapport… you need to learn about them over time. I earned my medical degree at St. George's University School of Medicine and completed my Psychiatry Residency at Nuvance Health in New York, following a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Neuroscience at Memorial University of Newfoundland.
