Neurofeedback for Children and Adults with ADHD
The Neurofeedback approach has shown significant improvements in ADHD symptoms in as little as eight to ten weeks. Neurofeedback works by guiding the brain to shift disorganized or underperforming brainwave patterns into more stable, organized patterns. This process enhances attention, impulse control, emotional regulation, and overall brain efficiency.
Our approach focuses on maintaining brain stability. Many individuals with ADHD exhibit brainwave patterns that are running too slowly in key areas. This is why stimulant medications are often used to speed up brain activity. With neurofeedback, we help the brain do this naturally, training it to regulate itself more efficiently over time.
Neurofeedback is safe, drug-free, and individualized to the client’s brain activity. It can be used as a standalone therapy or in conjunction with other treatments, such as behavioral therapy, educational support, or medication. In fact, the American Academy of Pediatrics recognizes EEG biofeedback (neurofeedback) as a Level 1 – “Best Support” intervention for children with ADHD—their highest level of evidence-based endorsement for psychosocial treatments.
Note: Always consult with your healthcare provider before making changes to any current treatment plan.
