About

Lovisa Ljungberg

I'm a vascular neurologist at University of Vermont Medical Center and an assistant professor of neurology at UVM Larner College of Medicine. I specialize in the diagnosis, acute management and secondary prevention of cerebrovascular diseases, including ischemic stroke, intracerebral hemorrhage and transient ischemic attacks.

My clinical practice emphasizes evidence-based care and multidisciplinary collaboration to improve outcomes for patients with complex cerebrovascular conditions. My research is focused on health disparities and quality improvement initiatives.

The most rewarding part of my work is being able to guide patients and their families through some of the most critical and uncertain moments of their lives. Whether it’s delivering life-saving treatment during an acute stroke or helping patients navigate their recovery, it’s a privilege to be part of their journey.
