Dr. Kaye’s focus is on providing empathetic, cutting-edge care, close to home, that rivals the care provided at larger, university medical centers. Dr. Kaye joined Stamford Health after serving as associate program director of the surgical residency program at Englewood Medical Center in New Jersey, as well as running a busy clinical practice. He was also an assistant clinical professor of surgery at both the Hackensack Meridian Health School of Medicine and the Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine, as well as the robotic surgery residency coordinator. He has mentored many budding surgeons, served as an administrator for the hospital’s general surgery residency training program, and has won awards for the past five years for excellence in surgical education, and educator of the year. Throughout his career, Dr. Kaye has been dedicated to mastering colorectal robotic surgery techniques. He was the first surgeon in Rockland County to perform a robotic colorectal resection and the first surgeon in the county to perform a robotic cholecystectomy. Over the past 10 years, Dr. Kaye has performed close to 1,000 colon and rectal resections using the da Vinci robot.
