As a Chattanooga native, Dr Murray attended Notre Dame High School and graduated magna cume laude from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a bachelor's degree in sociology. In addition to graduating as salutatorian from Lincoln Memorial University DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tennessee, she also served as class president. Dr Murray completed her intern year of residency at Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome, Georgia. She then completed a dermatology residency at HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital.
