In a world of physical suffering, I’m working to make a difference by helping patients feel better. This is what gives my life purpose. As a primary care doctor, it’s rewarding to see my patients not only improve but also understand why they got sick in the first place. In many ways, I’m a teacher. By providing patients with knowledge, I empower them to become and stay healthy. I’m especially interested in how meaningful lifestyle changes can help stop or lessen chronic disease. I hold a master’s degree in nutrition and often apply this knowledge to improve patient outcomes. When I’m not working, I like reading, writing, and listening to classical and preclassical music. My wife and I enjoy hiking, skiing, and mildly competitive ping-pong with our two teenage children.
