Christine Cliatt Brown, MD, is a Behavioral Neurologist and assistant professor in the Division of Cognitive Neurology. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of various types of dementia, such as Frontotemporal Dementia, Dementia with Lewy Bodies, Alzheimer’s Disease, and others. She has particular interest in young-onset dementia, Primary Progressive Aphasia, familial Frontotemporal Dementia, Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus, and atypical presentations of dementia. Her mission in clinical practice is to help provide her patients and their families with answers and a better understanding of the diseases they face. Dr. Cliatt Brown received her medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine. She completed her internship in internal medicine and residency training in neurology at the University of Utah. She then went on to do a fellowship in Behavioral Neurology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. At Mayo Clinic, her research focused on anomia in Primary Progressive Aphasia and visual hallucinations in Dementia with Lewy Bodies. After completion of her fellowship, she returned to the University of Utah. One of her primary goals is to help train a new generation of neurologists who understand the complexities and nuances in dementia diagnosis and treatment.
