Robin K. Ohls
Dr. Ohls received her medical degree from the University of Utah, where she also completed her residency in Pediatrics and a fellowship in Neonatology. After 23 years on faculty at the University of New Mexico, she returned to the University of Utah. She currently holds the August L. (Larry) Jung Endowed Chair and serves as Professor and Chief of Neonatology. For more than 35 years, Dr. Ohls has dedicated her clinical and research career to the care of critically ill preterm infants, with a particular focus on fetal and neonatal hematologic development, neonatal anemia, transfusions, and red cell growth factors. She has led numerous NIH- and foundation-funded studies and has published more than 200 peer-reviewed articles reporting the results of her clinical research. Dr. Ohls is a frequent invited speaker at national and international conferences and is widely recognized for her collaborative leadership, ethical insight, and commitment to mentoring the next generation of neonatologists. She is an active member of the University of Utah's Neo Heme Team, which advances neonatal transfusion stewardship and research in all aspects of neonatal hematology.Services
