Matthew Egalka, MD
Dr Egalka is a neonatal intensivist and serves as the medical director of the Salem Health Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. He was raised and completed his medical training in New England, but has been happy to call the Pacific Northwest home since 2019. He is passionate about providing high quality, detail-oriented, evidence-based care to the tiniest of patients and their families. He has pursued supplemental training in neonatal cardiac intensive care, and his other clinical interests include prenatal counseling, clinical informatics, neonatal hematology and neonatal pharmacology. He lives in West Salem with his wife and energetic young sons; together they enjoy downhill skiing and traveling.
