Alan Wimmer, MD, is board certified in cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology and specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders. He has a particular interest and expertise in atrial fibrillation and is a regional leader in the management of this condition. Dr Wimmer is the Medical Director for Arrhythmia Services for Saint Luke's Cardiovascular Consultants and Saint Luke's Mid America Heart Institute in Kansas City, Missouri and a Professor of Medicine at the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Medicine.
