Stan Underwood, AGACNP, is a nurse practitioner caring for non-invasive cardiology patients at Georgia Heart Institute. Stan has deep roots in the northeast Georgia community as he and his wife were born and raised in Habersham County. He was also a nurse at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville (where his mother also cared for patients for 30 years) for nearly a decade. Stan is passionate about treating heart disease with a community-based approach while offering his patients access to the resources and treatments of a larger regional health system. Stan obtained his clinical education from Augusta University in Augusta, Georgia, and the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama.
