From 1996-2006, Dr. Bernstein served as the director of interventional radiology at Northern Westchester Hospital where he developed programs in interventional oncology including radio frequency ablation and chemoembolization. From 2006-2021, Dr. Bernstein was director of interventional radiology at Norwalk Hospital. In addition, Dr. Bernstein has extensive experience in uterine fibroid treatment and endovascular treatment of varicose veins dating back to 1998.

Dr. Steven Bernstein was certified by the American Board of Radiology in 1994. Dr. Bernstein received his degree in medicine from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1989. Following completion of his internship at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City, he trained as a radiology resident at North Shore University Medical Center in Manhasset, New York.
