Dr Xu obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and graduated with highest distinction. He went on to complete his Medical Degree and a Masters Degree in Clinical Research at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) honor society.
