Dr Michael Gallagher was born in LaGrange, Illinois. He attended high school at Radnor Senior High School in Pennsylvania, graduating in 1979. His undergraduate studies were performed at the University of South Carolina, where he graduated with a bachelor’s of science degree in 1983 with Magna Cum Laude honors. He was accepted to Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia from which he graduated in 1987, again with Magna Cum Laude honors. His residency training was performed at Emory University in Atlanta, where he completed his internship in 1988 and his formal Neurosurgical residency training in 1994.
