D. Ryan Hall, MD is a transplant surgeon with primary clinical interests in minimally invasive surgery of the liver, bile ducts, and pancreas. In addition, he has training and experience in robot-assisted surgery of hepatobiliary and pancreatic malignancies. Hall believes surgery can be redemptive and result in immediate, life-changing benefits for patients. Hall is an associate professor and associate program director for the general surgery residency with McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. He stays heavily involved in medical education and serves on multiple committees at McGovern Medical School and Memorial Hermann Hospital. Hall earned his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. He would follow with the completion of a residency in general surgery at the East Tennessee State University College of Medicine, where he garnered numerous teaching honors, including the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award. After residency, he completed an abdominal organ transplant surgery fellowship at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. A loving husband and father of three children, Hall enjoys golf, hunting, and endurance sports in his leisure time.
