Naktal S. Hamoud, MD, provides specialty care for adult and senior patients with cardiovascular disease and heart rhythm problems. He specializes in clinical cardiac electrophysiology and treats patients for complex cardiac arrhythmias. He is thorough and strongly believes in tailoring treatment based on each individual patient. He is a good listener, personable, encouraging, professional, efficient, and very knowledgeable. He attended medical school at the University of Baghdad College of Medicine. Dr. Hamoud finished his residency in 2012 at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. He then completed two fellowships — first with the University of Arizona College of Medicine (2016) and then the Mayo Clinic – Phoenix (2018). Dr. Hamoud has current memberships with the American Heart Association, the American College of Cardiology, and the Heart Rhythm Society. He has been appointed as an assistant professor at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. His clinical interests focus on catheter ablation of complex cardiac arrhythmias including atrial fibrillation (AF), ventricular tachycardia (VT) and supraventricular tachycardia (STV), as well as implantation and follow up of cardiac device therapy, including conventional and leadless pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defibrillators.
