Marianne Cusick, MD, FACS, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained colon and rectal surgeon. She cares for patients of all ages needing colon and rectal care and screenings. She treats a wide range of conditions, including benign and cancerous conditions of the colon, rectum, and anus, pelvic floor disorders, fecal incontinence, and inflammatory bowel disease. She performs minimally invasive robotic and laparoscopic surgeries on the DaVinci surgical system. Cusick strives for enhanced recovery after surgery and advocates for prehabilitation to treat pain before and after surgery. Cusick is an associate professor in the Department of Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, where she’s involved in surgical education and research. She has published many scholarly articles and book chapters and has presented scientific research locally, regionally, and nationally. Outside of work, Cusick enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and extended family, jogging, and traveling.
