Trecia McFarlane, MD Biography 2024 Dr Trecia McFarlane was born and raised in Jamaica, West Indies and is the youngest of three children. When she was five years old, her desire to be a physician was inspired by her late maternal grandmother, who was well respected and cared for the sick in her community. Prior to starting medical school, Dr McFarlane did a year of post baccalaureate program at SUNY University of Buffalo and then completed her medical school at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. She completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at New York -Presbyterian Hospital Medical Group Queens in Flushing, New York.
