After joining Scripps as a cardiovascular disease fellow in 2008, Stephen Hu, MD, started his practice at Scripps in 2011. He specializes in treating patients with cardiovascular disease, with an emphasis on valvular heart disease. He is an expert in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of coronary artery disease, with a special interest in wireless health technologies. He is also experienced in the areas of geriatric medicine and internal medicine. Dr Hu has focused his research on the diagnosis of heart valve disease, cardiovascular imaging and three-dimensional echocardiography. He has also helped develop the utilization of cardiac computed tomography in transcatheter aortic valve replacement procedures at Scripps Clinic.
