John V. Conte, Jr., MD, FACS received his medical degree and completed his residency in surgery and cardiovascular research at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. In his final year, he was chief resident for the Department of Surgery. While at Georgetown University, he also completed a fellowship in the Department of Surgery and the Department of Neonatology. Dr. Conte completed his residency in cardiothoracic surgery and transplantation at Stanford University Medical Center in Stanford, Calif.He is board-certified by the Federation of State Medical Boards Diplomate, the American Board of Surgery, and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.
