Dr Simmons provides primary health care to patients of all ages. He is passionate about working with people struggling with substance use disorder. Dr Simmons specializes in induction of buprenorphine therapy and treating patients with borderline personality disorder. Dr Simmons has been in Oregon since 1996. He originally went to college to study music and has performed at Carnegie Hall. He decided to go back to school at the age of 37 to become a doctor and earned his medical degree in 2014. While volunteering with Samaritan as a pre-med student, Dr Simmons learned that the Samaritan Treatment & Recovery Services building would be built and knew then this would be his home.
