Andrew Voigt MD, is a cardiac electrophysiologist and director of the electrophysiology laboratory at UPMC Shadyside. He completed his undergraduate studies at Dartmouth College where he majored in history. Dr Voigt received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed his residency at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. He completed his cardiology and electrophysiology fellowship training at UPMC. Dr Voigt utilizes techniques such as catheter ablation to treat atrial and ventricular arrhythmias, implantation of pacemaker-defibrillators, and left atrial appendage occlusion. His wife is a pediatrician, and they have two girls. He enjoys reading, hiking, and playing golf his free time.
