Yakov Elgudin, MD, PhD, FACS, is a Senior Attending Cardiac Surgeon and the Surgical Director of Lung Transplantation within the Division of Cardiac Surgery at UH Harrington Heart & Vascular Institute. With extensive training and years of clinical experience, Dr. Elgudin has established a highly regarded heart surgery practice. His clinical interests include complex redo aortic surgery, aortic aneurysms, aortic debranching, aortic root reconstruction, aortic arch, thoracic endovascular aneurysm repair (TEVAR) and transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). He holds several patents related to bioprosthetic heart valves and is the author of more than 30 publications in national peer-reviewed journals.
