Dr Khauli earned his medical degree at Jordan University of Science and Technology School of Medicine in Irbid, Jordan, before interning at King Hussein Cancer Center in Amman, Jordan. He completed a second internship in internal medicine at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, IA, where he also finished his internal medicine residency. Dr Khauli was awarded a pulmonary and critical care medicine fellowship at the University of Nebraska in Omaha. He went on to a fellowship in interventional pulmonology at UCLA.
