Gayle Balba, MD, is a board-certified Infectious Disease specialist at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and an assistant professor of Medicine at Georgetown University School of Medicine. At MedStar Georgetown, she serves as director of the Hepatitis Clinic, Division of Infectious Diseases. Under her leadership, the clinic provides state-of-the-art clinical care for patients with Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and co-infection with human immunodeficiency virus; training of infectious diseases fellows; and research programs in infectious diseases. Dr Balba is also the program training director for the Infectious Diseases Fellowship.
