About
As a child, I always wanted to be a physician. Although my desired specialty at that time was pediatrics, I had a genuine interest in helping others, which led me to a career in medicine. Neurology is a specialty that is complex and requires time, patience and ability to think critically and analyze information. The most rewarding aspect of being a neurologist is utilizing the tools of history, examination and imaging to localize and provide patients with both answers to their questions and management of their specific diagnoses. I have personal ties to MS, which adds further enthusiasm and passion for practicing in this specific field.
When not at work, I love spending quality time with my husband and our young daughter.

I was born and raised in south Florida. I earned my undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of Florida and my medical degree at the University of Central Florida. I traded Florida's hot summers for Chicago's famously cold winters when I went on to complete my neurology residency and a clinical multiple sclerosis (MS) and neuroimmunology fellowship at the University of Chicago. I'm ecstatic to be back on the East Coast, now that I'm living and practicing in Wilmington, North Carolina.As a child, I always wanted to be a physician.
