Prior to my career in medicine, I worked in a number of other fields, including education, housing, nonprofit and agriculture. That experience allowed me to work with people from different backgrounds in many different settings. I think that varied background helps me better understand where my patients are coming from. I also speak Spanish and am always happy to work with Spanish-speaking patients.
I'm originally from Chicago and moved to Winston-Salem to escape the cold. I love it here. I enjoy traveling, cooking, going to concerts and playing with my dog.
