I attended Chamberlain Online University and I was lucky enough to get great preceptors, some really inspirational and intelligent people. Most of the nursing that I did as a RN was in the acute care setting, and I realized when I was doing that, that many patients probably could have prevented themselves from being in the situation they were in if they had had a little bit more education. That really pushed me to want to go on to the preventive side of things and so when I decided to go back to get my nurse practitioner degree, I decided primary care would be a really good fit for me.
