Hello, my name is Shawn Sussmane, and I am an assistant professor in the University of Florida Department of Ophthalmology. Some of my clinical interests include nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, presbyopia, dry eye, cataracts, and contact lenses. Originally from Florida, I moved to Tennessee as a teenager and completed my schooling there. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Biology at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee. I then received my Masters of Science in Biochemistry at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. I completed my externship at Eyecare Associates in Metairie, Louisiana. Since graduation, I have been working in private practice.
