Dr Brea earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and his MD and PhD at Weill Cornell Medical College. He focused his graduate work on exploring the regulation of antigen presentation in cancer as well as developing antibodies targeting tumor antigens in the laboratory of Dr David Scheinberg at Sloan Kettering Institute. He completed his residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital internal medicine program and his fellowship at the Dana-Farber/Mass General Brigham Fellowship in hematology/oncology. He has a research interest in developing new strategies for targeting lung cancer with immune effector cellular therapies such as CAR T
