Perla Macip-Rodriguez, MD, FAAHPM, completed medical school at Universidad Popular Autonoma del Estado de Puebla, in Puebla, Mexico, where she was born and raised. She is the Clinical Director for Community Engagement of the Palliative Care Department at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Also, she is a Senior Physician in the Department of Psychosocial Oncology and Palliative Care and is an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Apart from her clinical and teaching responsibilities, she is involved in outreach efforts aimed at improving disparities in patient care and enhancing the cultural competencies of clinicians.
