When a patient feels better in my care after others were unable to help, I know I’ve gone above and beyond in my duty as a physician assistant. Patients often thank me at the end of our visits for being thorough. That’s the kind of provider I like to be. I’m careful to explain their illness and treatment options. I want my patients to have a clear view of their situation and the path forward. Communication and patient education are important pieces of my care philosophy. I’m intrigued by the human body and I love helping others. My work in ear, nose and throat allows me to merge those two interests. When patients feel heard, understood, and healthy again after treatment and lifestyle changes, we both win.
