Dr Robert Smith is a board-certified vascular surgeon with an interest in endovascular and open surgery of aortic disease, in addition to general vascular treatment of peripheral arteries and veins. Dr Smith is a member of the Texas Society for Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, the Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Society and the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery. He is certified in general surgery and vascular surgery. He serves as the program director for the Baylor College of Medicine training program in vascular surgery and chairs the education committee for the Texas Vascular Surgery Society. When not working, he and his family enjoy spending time with their two horses, biking and playing chess.
